Having established itself in the television commercial industry, in 1998 Triggerfish was invited to produce animation for Takalani Sesame, the South African version of the iconic U.S. series, Sesame Street. The unique, African craft-inspired work won numerous awards and nominations at festivals around the world, and Triggerfish was commissioned to do several seasons for the US domestic series and the international editions. In 2008, Triggerfish had immediate success with its transition into CG by producing a 12-minute PSA, Sopo, for UNICEF and a 30-minute episode of the US series, Life at the Pond as well as a pilot for Studio 125 (Fish Fry).
