Triggerfish is passionate about drawing on our unique, homegrown perspective to create character-driven, universal stories. We work and play from a studio on a picturesque farm surrounded by mountains in the heart of the city of Cape Town.

BEGINNINGS

Triggerfish took its first plunge in 1996 as a high-end stop-frame studio producing animation for Takalani Sesame Street as well as creating some of South Africa's most memorable commercials. Ten years later, the studio branched out into CG, focusing on long-form character animation.

INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT

In addition to co-founding the first national animation body, AnimationXchange, which has over 2000 members across southern Africa, Triggerfish plays an integral role in the Animation Industry with the support of the Services Seta, share a vision of creating a strong and competitive home-grown animation industry.
